Zizek keenly examines the Occupation in its intentioned ambiguity.  The State wants to keep Palestinians Guessing at all points of their contact with the Occupation.  For 42 years the Occupation has indeed made the pork of the Occupation kosher… and made tried to maintain a state in which Palestinian Civil Society is the “enemy” and in which Palestinians are devoid of any sense of citizenship.  The settlements have been intentionally normalized in Israeli consciousness.
