The corporate media is a propaganda system for the agenda of the rich and powerful. Anchors for the major network are a major part of this propaganda system.  Jon Stewart raises issues and points out hypocrisy all under the guise of a humor show.  These same issues and this hypocrisy is rarely, if ever, pointed out in the major media, which allows leaders to take this country into war, merely on the say-so of those in power—-no proof of actual threat needed.  This all goes to serve the bottom line—war has become a business which enriches the media companies, the weapons manufacturers and well-placed corporations like Halliburton, which position themselves to make obscene profits off the misery of others.

Williams? Couric?? *Trustworthy*!?  You’re joking, right?  Oh, I get it: they’re completely trustworthy if your only expectation is vapid and/or partisan (and hence completely useless) bullshit.  The results of this poll, with most of us of course voting for Stewart and Olbermann (yes, it’s with two Ns, not one), will just be preaching to the choir.  What we all really need is a way to unseat the seemingly endless parade of morons such as Couric et al. and replace them with Actual Thinking Persons—you know, people that exhibit meaningful synaptic activity.  Fat chance of that ever happening now.

I would have liked to see a larger poll, where are people like Amy Goodman?  We trust Jon Stewart to make us laugh, but I don’t tune in comedy central for news.

I only picked Jon Stewart out of that list because he is the only one doing the real job of real reporting.  Amy Goodman is a great choice along with a lot of other people out there trying to be real journalists.  Fortunately, I live in Canada where I have the CBC(Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) and I also have sources that appear through the campus radio station here in Calgary, Alberta.  I also think that the http://www.commondreams.org site is a great site which has lots of alternative and foreign sources to use.  People shouldn’t simply trust any source and anchor blindly and look to other sources to make up their minds.  Cheers.

This poll is a joke! Who do I trust most for what?To pull me from a car wreck? To take home a fat paycheck?Certainly not for any news credability!!Andy summed it up pretty well about the media being a propaganda machine, and NOT just the “news Shows” its in everything we watch or read! they don’t call it programming for nothing!!

Stewart is funny, but Olberman is a journalist.  I’m assuming the question is about the validity of the information presented.

I LOVE this site, as it both gives me hope and educates me.  I keep looking for sources of truth, as I figure the fascists will sooner or later dry up our Internet.  Censoring us, just like they do in China.  In fact, I’m extremely interested when I read about libery suppression in other countries, as I figure Cheney/Rove/rumsfeld will be doing it to us tuit suite.

Stewart’s my man, but he sure shut up at the Oscars.  Wonder why? And how do we contact him?  I watch him on the Internet but don’t see a contact.
