My fellow Americans

Evil-doers are now using nursing homes as sleeper cells, training our seniors to become suicide bombers.

Leaks from D.C. insiders aren’t just for the mainstream media. Using our close ties to the PR firm the Lincoln Group, In These Times has gained exclusive access to the advance draft of George Bush’s 2006 State of the Union address. Hmmm ...

    No [Thunderous Applause] anywhere ??
But I guess the [Applause] indicated is a prompt to cue the desired and expected response??
How about [Dead Silence] or [Boos and Hisses]

I would not be to sure about the troops coming home after March :

The Bush administration is preparing its NATO allies for a possible military strike against suspected nuclear sites in Iran in the New Year ...

You forgot Operation Irani’ Liberation (OIL, v.II).

    Not too funny.

Maybe a well timed rim shot here and there would help it.

    Nah.

Satire these days, must be absolutely hilarious if it is to be anything more than a painful reminder of what passes for wisdom these days.

Thanks for breaking the ice, Dave. I didn’t want to be discouraging to the author, but I also understand that silence is hideous after putting the work up and hoping it has legs, while you’re gone.

Perhaps Ms. Douglas could check out Counterpunch for the Ron Jacobs rule.

Off to check out David in Canada’s link.

How about the “Cannabalism for the Entitled” program…

I look for references to them, with relish

    lmao!

    Thank you

Yes, it is hard to write political satire when the present reality would be deemed too improbable for even a bad SNL skit.

And psychopathic mass murderers were just never that funny to me. Except Sharon, of course. Guy just cracks me up. He will be missed. Maybe Bebe can hire his writers.

    poetic justice for Sharon

If this link doesn’t show up properly, and you haven’t read it, then you might want to look up this article in Counterpunch, opeluboy.

It’s moving in a spooky sort of way.

We are poised at a time in history when God has called me and said, “George, I want you to go out into the heathen lands of Iran, and bring democracy to them in their ignorance.  George the Iranians need to be stopped from upsetting my plans for maintaining the Illusion of a US economy.  You must destroy their Nuclear Potential, save the world from the chance that a nation antagonistic to us and with lots of oil, may gain the ability to feel secure from our Military intervention. Do this for me George and I might make you President for life, wouldn’t you like that George?”

So fellow American Patriots I am proud to inform you that we have together with the Zionist Puppetmasters, launched a pre-emptive strike using Nuclear as well as Chemical (and biological weapons, just for good measure), against the heathen Terrorist Nation of Iran.  The real instigators of 911.

We have of course got lots of really impressive stuff showing how Iran did it after all.  I actually have every reason to believe, thanks to special presidential briefings which only I can read, that al-Queda actually means Iran in Arab.

We expect to kill at least a million of those brown bastards and shouldn’t lose more than about ten or maybe fifteen of our own brave American Soldiers, excluding those lucky devils who fall to ‘friendly’ fire.  We are in contact with loyal and true Iranians who are just waiting for their chance to restore Democracy and sell Oil for Dollars only, and they have assured us we will be welcomed by Iranians with open arms and flowers.

Due to the tragic loss of life suffered by the brave members of the world press who fell in such astoundingly high numbers in the most recent “troubles”, in iraq, we are taking steps which should save millions of lives. In the true spirit of the New Amerikan Way, we will be allowing those same journalists the safety and security of our internment facilities around the world where they will be given suitable information and the means to bring that news to you without the danger of fallingvictim to our bullets or bombs.

These journalists will not be tortured, any more than we would torture any person off the street who we just happened to lock up, and they will be fed every day.  Most importantly they will be safe, and you will be safe.  You will be able to sleep comfortably, happy and secure knowing that you are safe, and the bad guys are all getting killed., day and night.

    (applause)

Thanks wileywitch. Can’t see the link, but CounterPunch is a regular stop every day, as it should be for anyone who is not a nazi.

And apologies for late responses. I’m in Hawaii. Big time difference.

Thanks David. How the hell did I miss that?!? Great piece, and yes, wiley, spooky it is.

United States Posted by opeluboy on Jan 10, 2006 at 3:55 PM

Oh God!  This is not pretty.

Another great gift for the world from the USA.

So Troll wacking will be illegal now.  Obviously we can complain that Trolls or Shills are annoying us, but when it comes down to which one will they prosecute, its easy to guess which one will be chosen.

This is a law designed to protect the morons.  A Moron Protection Act.  In fact that is what Rabbit will christen it, The Moron Protection Act.  MPA

Seditious libel, in a Republic---that, ideally, would be the work of a real genius.

United States Posted by wileywitch on Jan 11, 2006 at 10:17 PM

Wiley, Rabbit may have taken a prisoner from that RINF site.

We mustn’t scare him away, he was the one moron who seemed to be not a complete moron.  We shall be nice to him if indeed he does creep up to the campfire.

How useful if one can get one of them over the fence of comprehension, he is quite a central one too, Rabbit has researched him.

Australia Posted by Rabbit on Jan 13, 2006 at 11:56 AM

Oh, Rabbit, I should have read this before....Yikes. Mama. Sorry.

United States Posted by wileywitch on Jan 13, 2006 at 9:30 PM

That’s all right, dear, it was fun to watch anyway.

I added a pink bit in your honour, hope you’ve seen it.
