    Obesity and starvation now side by side in the third world.  A physiological mirror of the images of high rises and shanytowns only a few miles apart.

    Looks like you can have both.

    As for the distraction of conflicting “expert” opinions, shouldn’t rapid weight gain as the result of making treat-food your staple diet and spending hours every day sitting on your ass (esp. obsessed with TV and/or PC) be enough of a wake-up call?

    Symbols of new affluence: all the rich-kid diseases replacing the maladies of deprivation. Super-size me!
