White Blight

Arguments for "race neutrality" are used to curtail Civil Rights advances.

By Nancy MacLean

In 1957, as the civil rights movement gained steam, the conservative National Review opined: "the White community in the South is entitled to take such measures as are necessary for it to prevail, politically and culturally, in areas in which it does not predominate numerically." There is only one way in American culture to end de facto segregation, poverty and crime —-and that is to make certain everyone has well paying jobs. The historic and sociological evidence is overwhelming.  It is just never going to happen until their is a violent revolution and the capitalist system is overthrown and that revolution has a clarion call for equality along with liberty and fraternity.

I challenge anyone to show me where through logic or reason I am wrong.

    Rising expectations.

By historical standards, the “poor” in the US are very well off indeed. But put them in front of their color TVs and show them how the rich live and they are unhappy. Even with washers, dryers, tvs, radios, more than enough food to eat (who ever dreamed the “poor” would be fat one day?), etc etc etc.

A violent revolution would merely destroy the capital that we collectively possess and make us all a bit poorer. A very very bad idea.

Mr. Wolf do you really believe such right wing trash?—- Stuff that has no basis in reality?  Do you think people living in the slums of the USA are that well off?  (It should be commented that no other advanced capitalist country has as bad slums as the USA)!  Do you realize that life expectancy, infant mortality, beggary,  crime and other indicators of well being are as bad in the USA central cities as in some third world countries?

Not only is the poverty world wide an indicator of the horrendous failure of capitalism,  but especially in its extreme form as seen in the USA poverty indicates the inherent failure of capitalism and capitalist ideology.

    Very important message!!!

Yes, of course.  Such violent revolutions, such as the French, Russian, and Chinese revolutions, worked wonders in the past.  Of course a few million people (or hundreds of millions) had to be liquidated along the way but what is that when one is in the process of building a better society.

One must break a few eggs (or a few hundred million) when making an omlet.

Exactly!  That is why living conditions were so much better in Soviet Russia and Communist China than they ever were in the USA.  Why, Cambodia during the reign of the Khmer Rouge was nearly a paradise.  All the dead bodies were merely capitalist pigs who deserved their fate!

Actually I was just agreeing with your thinking.  As you imply, it isn’t mentally taxing.

The author failed to show how living in a suburb is racist. The article was trite and inconsequential. Somehow average Americans shoud feel guilty for living in a safe community with good schools?

In the 1960’s Sweden had a diverse population that included poorer people from Turkey and Yugoslavia and yet they had next to no poverty nor any of the crime, slums, beggary etc associated with poverty.  How was this possible?  No the real morons in the world are right wing scum who insist that poverty has to exist or that war has to exist or that gross disease has to exit.  The world would be a much better place once all of the right wing scum are removed.

By the way Sweden has never been Socialist, it is just that in the 60’s and 70’s it had less inequality than other countries due to social democrat policies.

Perhaps I appear that way to you because you haven’t really made much of an argument yourself.  Your reasoning so far has been weak or non-existent.
