The Custer Battles case has been a hot topic on blogs everywhere, and especially those critical of our country’s judicial system. But the bad guys don’t always get away. The average American citizen would be amazed to learn two things. First, under federal law, if they know of someone defrauding the U.S. Government, they may personally file a claim to recover triple the amount defrauded, and they typically get to keep up to 30% of the money recovered as a reward. Second, most major U.S. companies, from Shell Oil to WalMart have been successfully sued by private citizens for defrauding the U.S., and forced to settle for sums as high as $900 Million. Boeing recently settled a case for $615 million, and Grumman recently settled for $111 Million. To read about every major case of this type in the last 12 years, and to learn how a private citizen can file such a claim, anyone can go to www.federalfraud.com.

Thank you for the sensible critique. Me and my neighbor were just preparing to do some research about this. We got a grab a book from our local library but I think I learned more from this post. I am very glad to see such great information being shared freely out there. airport parking
You have a very helpful and informative article. Thank you so much. I somehow understand how war in Iraq has affected the lives not only of the American soldiers but also Iraqis themselves who are also victims of war in their own land. Although it is very hard to accept that war is also business but I have to agree with what you have written. - Jordan
