    Good piece. Let the South go. If even a conservative Black like Ford can’t
    win because of the entrenced racism down there, this is not the place
    to waste time on. Having a bunch of anti-abortion, pro-war, NRA type Dems is not my cup of tea. I think it’s possible that liberal or progressive
    whites can align with similar blacks to win occasionally but I wouldn’t bet the ranch on it.
