Perlman is, of course, twisting the truth. Anyone who doesn’t know that Lieberman is for getting our troops out of Iraq by winning the war, just doesn’t know politics as much as he claims to.
Regardless if he is trying to hawk his own book.
Perlstein is right on the money, Lieberman supported all of Bush’s lies to get us into this war and like Nixon on Vietnam, he has continued to
support the indefensible. This war, like Vietnam, is not winnable and
has made us much less secure. Lieberman has been the leading Israeli Lobby point man in Congress and richly deserves defeat.
One would guess that the lack of any defining identity is the main source of the Democrats dilemma…guys like Lieberman make that point all too clear….
Regardless of what happens in these elections…the Democrats have lost major points in my viewpoint ; because of the simple fact that they , rolled along with the Bush game plan, and rarely blinked an eye….
True but we still need to send a message to Bush and the Right by turning the GOP out at all levels of government.
