    Yes, Guantanamo is a Gulag.  I realize the RepubThugs don’t like that.  Too bad, chickehawks!

    I’m as much against the detention camp as anyone else, but.. Will you please stop referring to the American prison camp at Guantanamo Bay as a ‘gulag’?  It is not a gulag.  Not even close.  There was only one gulag and to compare this American misadventure in “terrorist” detainment to THE Gulag shows a glaring deficiency in world history while also doing a perverse disservice to all of those that died and suffered because of Stalin’s Gulag.

    Guantanamo Bay is a prison camp; a very repulsive, perhaps illegal one at that.  But not a gulag, so please don’t make misguided comparisons.
