The Talented Mr. Griffin

The senators grilling Alberto Gonzales should ask him about Arkansas’ new U.S. attorney—and his history of suppressing minority voters

By Greg Palast

With the sacking of eight honest prosecutors, the Bush administration has accelerated its politicization of the Justice Department. The only thing worse than sacking an honest prosecutor is replacing one with a “criminal.” In this case, Timothy Griffin, who during the 2000 Bush-Cheney campaign worked as deputy research director for the Republican National Committee (RNC) conducting “oppo” (opposition) research. This is a whole bunch of nothing. The reason Gore lost Florida was that 26,000 African American ballots were thrown out because these voters near Jacksonville voted twice for President. A local Demo Party official told them they had to check every page of the ballot but the first two pages were Presidential candidates. Since these voters had the brains of mules they did exactly that ! Since the African-American vote in that part of Duval County went 99.9% for Gore it is easy to surmise he lost it
right there. But look on the bright side, Lieberman didn’t become VP.
Since there is greater fraud in the black community it makes more sense to focus there. Saudis are profiled more than Swedes at the
airport. Is that unfair ? The very word liberal contains all the letters
for LIAR and that seems fitting. You people are as flatulent as you are impotent. Giuliani is going to CREAM Billary in 08.

Is there any point in trying to convince a retard like blondemike that there is a conspiricy being run by Rove from the whitehouse to undermine elections? Had a full recount been done in FL Gore would have won regardless. Bush was appointed by SCOTUS.

The point is politicizing the justice department is unacceptable no matter who is in the whitehouse. Clearly it is happening or they would turn over the E-mails and people would gladly come forward to clear the whole mess up. It will take nothing less than impeachment of the whole bunch to finish it unless Bush the psychotic can get everyone to drink the cool-aide and save us the trouble. Maybe you can start the process there Mikey.

HHHH ! Hubert Horatio Hornblower Humphrey back up from hell, well, shucks we be honored. Your faith in Gore is touching but he wouldn’t have won because the disallowed votes in Duval County greatly exceeded all the south Florida disputed areas combined.
Yeah, you’d better lay off the kool-aid.....at least until you learn how to spell it....

You humans have a saying that “All is fair in love and war.” My reading of U.S.  and international law suggests that this statement is true in neither realm.  HOWEVER, it does seem to be true of politics, in one era (ours, for example) Republicans seeming to take the greatest liberties, while in other eras Democrats seem to have more of a taste for political fudge.  The particular problem these days seems to be the unmitigated arrogance with which these bozos do their dirty work.  Actually, we pigs have quite a facility with dirt, so better watch out.

what ever happened to tina-1 and her big mouth? demos would be out of power for the next 20 years, what happened? The neo-cons are high on kool-aid.
blondemike is another tina-1 the last of the 30% to support bush, kick back mike and let the kool-aid swirl around your brain, it’s not you it’s the rest of the 70% of the country that’s messed up.
Be safe in your kool-aid bubble mike everything is alright.

Not a neocon and in 06 only a fool would NOT have predicted a Demo sweep. Though even they were surprised it was both houses. I never supported Bush domestically or in foreign affairs or ever voted for him or his dad. so much for your assumptions. If you guys want to lose in 08 nominate Hillary, no skin off my nose.

    Hi, y’all!

    Blondemike,

Gore would have won if the absentee ballots which had been post-marked several days after election day hadn’t been counted. Those ballots should not have been counted. True, they were military ballots, but the ballots submitted by military personnel are to be tabulated and post-marked on that day without exception.

I know this as I served in the U.S.Navy during the ‘88 election. We voted on election day and our ballots were tabulated and post-marked that day.

Unfortunately, we are subject to the whims of Karl Rove and the BU**SH** regime. Karl Rove speaks of mirror- sunglasses colonels? He is one. He just leaves the sunglasses in his briefcase.

By the way, use an “em” dash instead of an ellipse. You’re a professor, albeit in a rectangle state. Please use proper punctuation. In the meantime, while you are re-reading your MLA manual, look at the sites on the web pertinent to the relationship between the BU**SH** campaign and Database Technology, the group which compiled that horrid, odious, and ridiculous list.

“Aunty” your posts make no sense.
Are you winning or losing this debate
with yourself ? If they counted the
ballots of the service yokels Bush
would have won by even a larger margin.
