Mark Pera is not one to back down from a challenge. The son of a steelworker, Pera toiled in Northwest Indiana's mills to put himself through college and law school. As a Cook County assistant state's attorney, he worked on environmental criminal prosecution and public [RETURN TO ARTICLE]

Right on!
Lipinski is the WORST of the BushDogs because he “represents” (or in his case occupies a chair for) a solidly Democratic district. Other Democrats here like Melissa Bean represent R-leaning districts and perhaps need to be more conservative to retain their seats.
Lipinski doesn’t represent the views of his solidly Democratic district. After gaining the seat through daddy’s nepotism, he simply sits in Congress rather than representing his district.
Sadly, with the new February 5th primary, candidates like Mark Pera need our contributions TODAY to get their message to the voters.
I’ve contributed to Pera and hopefully everyone else will as well.
My representative, Brad Ellsworth, 8th District, IN, got an earmark for one of the most powerful men in Indiana, Steve Chancellor. Chancellor owns Ameriqual the company that supplies MRE to the military. He also is on the board of Peabody Coal. The Bushes, JR and SR, and Cheney have been guests at his home. I wish someone would bring some money in to defeat him, but I think he will be in for a long time with such powerful backing.
Lest we forget to hound the Republicans in seats that the Democrats can capture. The IL 6th district is a case in point. Rahm Emanuel cost the Democrats that seat. He engineered the defeat of progressive Christine Ceglis. Rahm’s choice, an Iraq war vet, lost to the Republican.
