    It is interesting that one of the first casualities during any Government’s austerity drive is Education. As far as the politicos are concerned, there is nothing like an ignorant population whose minds can be easily moulded by lies and deceit. It is as if they are not really keen to have educated, aware people questioning, how in spite of terrible budgetary deficits, the politicians manage to give themselves raises and provide huge contracts to large companies (especially in the military equipment).
