Boeing’s ties bloat government budgets

By Frida Berrigan

Boeing is not only one of the largest weapons manufacturers in the world, it is also a master of the fine art of quid pro quo. Why the fuss?  Daddy Bush’s Carlyle group is the 11 largest weapons producer in the nation....and they’re reaping in huge profits from Shrub’s war.  Few people know anything about the Carlyle group....and that their clients include the Saudi royal family and the bin Laden clan.  Take this fun quiz and see how much you’re not being told by the media.  Then print it out and test your friends and teach the uninfored.  (that’s most of the US, sadly).

Norm Dicks is my Rep. in Congress, since I am a far left Dem. that means I have no Rep., Norm being a “Rumsfeld Democrat”. About the only people he does represent are those stuck on the sub base in his district. He only comes out to my neck of the (diminishing) woods about every other election just to let us know he’s still breathing. When a real Dem. and a Congreessman with spine, Jim McDerment, said Bush was lying us into a war in Iraq old Norm joined the Rep. in smearing him. But when it comes to military pork Norm is, as this story shows, absolutely fearless. Alas, I understand that our Senator, Patty Murray, signed on with this deal. Norm’s a shill but what’s Patty’s excuse?

Only $54,000 in the last four elections cycles for Dicks and only $34,000 for Stevens???? Boy, Boeing sure is cheap! You’d think these congressmen would be smart enough to bribe them er’ I mean ask them for more money. I mean come on Norman Dicks asks Bu$h for $2.5 billion and all he gets is 54 grand?? What a rip-off!!
