Obama seems poised to make two wrong turns

I’m worried about Obama’s commitment to domestic progressive issues but not worried too much about the middle east issue.

I think you’ve got it wrong about Ross.

You ask “It’s a “fact” that Israel should control of all Jerusalem, but it’s also a fact that the final status of the city will be resolved by negotiations?”

Since you asked, no, that’s not what Ross said or attributed to Obama.  Ross said:

    1) “Jerusalem is Israel’s capital.”
    2) the city should never be divided again.
    3)  the final status of the city will be resolved by negotiations.

So you are clearly misconstruing point 1.  Just because Jerusalem remains Israel’s capital doesn’t meant that it will remain only Israel’s capital.  How about a little creative thinking?

Plenty of people have proposed a shared capital city, undivided, to be decided upon and defined by negotiations.
