    ken, please stop.  quit pretending to support progressive causes and start posting at the new republic, where you belong.

    It’s beyond me how you could have read any of my columns - (including this one, of course) and then come to the conclusion that I don’t “support progressive causes.” I’ve been a left-wing activist for over forty years now.
