By Ben Peck

The Medicare overhaul legislation that Congress passed just before Thanksgiving does too much to help special interests and too little for the seniors and people with disabilities who rely on Medicare for their health care. I think the article is great. I get so frustrated that the Seniors like myself can’t see that this Bush bunch is trying to privitaze both Medicare and Social Security. I have never in all my years been so disgusted with Washington. Seems like I get to the point that it dosen’t do any good to vote anymore. Blanche Lincoln is one of my Senators, she voted for the Medicare bill. I called and told her she would not get my vote .

To make matters worse, I as a combat veteram of World War 2, have been cut off from getting my drugs through the VA.
As of January 17th,2003, George Bush cut off those benefits.
I take 9 expensive, prescribed drugs each day, which I could get from the VA for far less.
    For Shame, George Bush!

Robert. First, know that I hoild you in the highest regard and feel that you and ALL of our vets need to be taken care of FIRST before sending another penny to a foreign nation. When one considers that Bush and our so called congressmen found it in their hearts to send Turkey 1 Billion and Israel 9 Billion for Bushes war budget of 87 Billion and then CUT programs for AMERICAN military, vets and elderley I am appalled and ashamed of these so called elected officials who put foreign nations interests first instead of their own. IMO, they are a disgraceful, vote-seeking bunch that ALL deserve to get booted from office. Please sir, organize and raise caine about this with fellow vets and seniors. It is the only way.

I am a teacher of high school seniors and try to give them a balanced view of issues.  The Medicare issue and recent vote for this new legislation is a crime in my opinion.  It really makes me sick to my stomach to see what this administration is doing to the American people.  I for one, will do my best to get him (Bush) out of office.

“I for one, will do my best to get him (Bush) out of office. “

You’re a teacher, you shouldn’t be influencing young people’s minds in that way. High school seniors trust their teachers for the pure facts, without ANY spin. Don’t make their minds for them

Once agian, are we the people naive enough to believe that governement works for us?

Of course those who give big campaign donations get something for their money. Why else wouold they give it?

I’m not mad about it, just frustrated that we the people haven’t taken our government back form the money men. Doesn’t the Bible say Jesus took action against the ‘money changers?’

My parents are retired and on medicaid.  My mother is a diabetic and because of the cost of her medical needs, my father forgoes his own.  I would be more than willing to vote those out of congress who voted for this Mediscam. But how do I know who voted for it?  Where do I go to find this information?
