So, what if the government was color-blind genetically but not politically? After all, millions of blacks (and whites, and browns, and yellows) were not targeted by the police or FBI, only those that were red politically, or otherwise criminal, regardless of their skin color.
And you admit this in the small print (quasi-Marxist). You might have pointed out that Dohrn and the Weathermen were terrorists and killers as were some of the Black Panthers, but that would have destroyed the premise of the article; all these innocent young terrorists were attacked by the nasty old police, who were, after all, required to protect us from terrorists.
Marxists are killer when they achieve power. But I am not a kulak, so don’t tread on me.

First off, tell me who the Weatherman killed. They killed no one. All their bombings—except for the one in which they blew themselves up—destroyed only property. Terrorists, maybe. Killers, no. Who did the Black Panthers murder? Specifically Hampton, who did he kill? Nobody. And Marxists may have a bad history with violence, but being a Marxist isn’t a crime. Therefore, your logic still doesn’t justify the government’s actions.

You single out Marxists for some reason. Most people, no matter their political creed, religion, nationality, race, or pizza topping preference…most people are killers when they achieve power. It’s part and parcel of the system. We, the people, suck it up and tell ourselves this is simply how it is.
But you wouldn’t know this, apparently, too fixated on red-baiting as you are.
Far be it from any citizen to hold any of our own power-wielders in these USA above suspicion, eh?

Weathermen members Kathy Boudin, Judith Alice Clark, and David Gilbert attempted to rob a Brinks truck and killed two policemen and a guard, they were sent up to long prison sentences. But the low death rate from Weathermen bombings was mostly due to the Weathermens’ stumblefart incompetence, such as the Greenwich Village accident.
“Off the cops” was not just a saying with the Black Panthers. Dozens of Panthers died fighting the police, and a number of police, innocent victims of Black Panther crimes, and Black Panthers, victims of internecine warfare, died, mostly in the 1960s and 1970s.
Black Panther H. Rap Brown is serving life in prison for the murder of one Black policeman and for wounding another Black policeman. Black Panthers Warren Kimbro, George Sams, Jr., and Lonnie McLucas admitted to torturing and murdering 19-year-old Black Panther Alex Rackley because he was suspected of being a police informant. Sams testified that Black Panther Bobby Seale had given the orders to kill Rackley.

You’re very good at misconstruing the facts. The three Weathermen members you named robbed the bank after the Weathermen had broken up. They were with a different group. It doesn’t justify what they did ,but it certainly doesn’t implicate Dohrn in murder as you said earlier. H. Rap Brown murdered the police officer in the 2000s, well after the murder of Fred Hampton (and well after the Black Panthers had any significance).
I was unaware of the torture/murder. Nobody’s justifying that. It’s actually pretty horrible, and they’ were rightfully sent to prison.
However, you still haven’t offered any legitimate reason for the police to go into Hampton’s house guns blazing. Yes, the ones sent to prison were sent for violent crimes, but what did Hampton do to deserve being murdered?
