    I agree that there has been an amazing turn toward not thinking in the West - not just the United States. I see it in my bright college students who intone all opinions are equal, all cultures are equal, all religions are equal - NOT AFTER INVESTIGATING, which would make sense, but before any looking whatsoever.

    This is all the more disturbing as good thinking, freedom of thought are the basis of ... I don’t know what all, but I think of Copernicus, Galileo, every rights movement, every challenge to conventional rigid thinking. And then now, unthinking - a celebration of unthinking.

    It goes further. It is unfeeling - because one needs to cut oneself off from feeling to utter inanities like, any decision is better than taking time to know what is the best route. Unfeeling: not caring for the lives on the line.

    I’m just in the process of finishing an article on my own site - not on the particular inanities - but on what I see as the current largest Western taboo - way more taboo than incest and more dangerous than 9/11.
