A Winning Progressive Politics

By Paul Wellstone

Many tributes and eulogies have been written for Sen. Paul Wellstone since his tragic death in October. He was widely praised, on both sides of the aisle, for his character, conscience and conviction. Yet in the hand-wringing and finger-pointing after the Democrats’ discouraging defeat on Election Day, his party’s leaders seem eager to disclaim almost everything Wellstone stood for, lurchingreturn to article

Excellant story! It gives me such a hopeless feeling knowing Paul is no longer here to keep this message alive.  It also concerns me alot that the current direction of politics is not heading in the direction Paul speaks to.  A direction I totally agree with. To bad Paul was never able to run for President.

Like a breath of fresh air, I feel invigorated after reading Paul Wellstone’s prophetical ‘Legacy of Truth’ as he astutely identified the crux of problems within our two party system of American politics.  As a result, I shall not only buy his book, but continue to march in the streets and keep local leaders informed of the opinions of this member of their constituency.  This, as I believe this fallen hero’s boldly-tendered VOICE needs to become a cornerstone for revitalizing ‘a winning life’ back into America - through the wisdoms of patience, compassion, and sincere regard.

More than you know - thank you Craig - for bringing this saavy man’s ‘still living’ light into this day.  All best.

This should be a must reading for all Americans. The world is not as bright nor as honest as it was when he was in it.A job well done here on earth,

A long time conservative from a business family, I find it odd that in these times I am now considered a ‘liberal’.  My perspectives have not changed, but as Paul so astutely noted, politics has shifted so far to the right that even moderates seem left wing.  I never agreed with his politics, but I do agree with his analysis.  Our march towards the far right is leading our country into theocratical fascism - with no room for democracy.  No longer a republic even, we are evolving into a plutocracy that cares little for mainstream values.  It may well take another catastrophe to bring the citizens of this once-great country to their senses.

I just had to go back to hear his words again.
Is anyone doing an investigaton into his highly suspisious death?  One good investigative reporter looking at the scientific evidence of Jim Fetzer (assasinationscience.com) would lead anyone not just Minnesotan’s to the conclusion that he was assasinated!  We want to know who all was involved.  This is very important.  No one should get away with killing our state Senator!!!!
