War Profiteering and You

Sounds like there is a lot of opportunity to rebuild Iraq, that is if you don’t mind being shot at everyday. We spend around $300 billion blowing the place up, another $287 billion to keep our troops there for a year and billions more to rebuild the infrastructure we destroyed through sanctions and bombings. I think that money could be spent on other things such as education, poverty, environment or just about anything else. Not to mention all the reasons for going to war turned out to be lies. Bush is a liar. Please do the country a favor and vote for the democratic front runner. Another 4 years of Bush will only fuel more hatred for the United States. Just imagine all of the other “dangerous” regimes with WMD that will be bombed by Bush if re-elected. Hey, it may create some lucrative reconstuction contracts but the Bush Adminstration is dangerous for world stability.  Finally, the article was well written. It’s pretty scary how we have privatize the military and how corporations are profitting from killing, destruction and destabilization of the middle east.

The expediture of our tax dollars in Iraq and Afghanistan, etc. is a cruel joke.

For every One Billion dollars spent on infrastructure in the U.S. 50,000 jobs are created.

With the U.S. economy currently lacking millions of jobs the math seems academic here. However when the agenda is obviously a massive transfer of our tax wealth to a few bu$hit connected corporations the math becomes unacademic.

I agree with Tahoe Stoner, that money needs to be spent here, rebuild the US, help this economy, and the people who live in it.  Bush is a lying *&%$, how dare he try to get people to think this war was an act of democracy and freedom.  I mean, I’m glad Saddam is gone, but the US should leave too and leave it to the UN (just in case of civil war).  But we should not be profitting from this, that was not the intent, this is some BS.
