I agree with Dean about some kind of follow up especially in Ohio. We have State wide elections in 2 years and we need to build a grass roots organization to elect Dems all over Ohio. The problem is that there are too many turfs to fight. The Unions who control the party will not allow any grass roots organizations to get too strong or challenge their leadership, so unless some national organization can committ some resources, Ohio is not likely to build on this massive effort.
Howard Dean will forever be the courageous individual who gave the Democratic Party and it’s leaders a spine. For that reason alone, he deserves our respect and admiration. You go guy!
Howard Dean is the only person in my lifetime that was able to really get me excited about being involved in the political process. This is the first time I’ve ever given money to a presidential candidate - Kerry, of course - and I have done more reading and listening than ever before. We must keep him involved and, although the main stream media won’t cover him (unless he makes a mistake of course), we must do everything we can to make sure his voice is heard - because he speaks for so many of us in the Democratic Party and he is one of the few intelligent people in this country that has the backbone to stand up to the hypocrisy and ignorance that exists in politics today.
I shook Howard Dean’s hand just before the primary up here and told him I was a registered Republican and I was writing him in on my ballot.
I told him he was right about the deficits and right about Greenspan. I told him deficits were deferred taxes and Bush was the biggest taxer in the history of America. I feel completely betrayed by the National Party. Locally, it is not like that.
I think Howard Dean is a treasure and I was very disappointed he lost so many primaries. Democracy has not really succeeded lately in America. Too many fools voting
