George Martin-Mauser: A recognition that "fundemental change" is needed, is a start. And you are far too young to quit before the start. Perhaps just twenty years down the road a Preidential election will offer three, decidedly different, candidates rather than two who have been labeled as the same by the popular press. Perhaps it is time to visualize yourselfs as the saviours of the world rather than the rulers. twain

Help: Would someone please translate the first comment ? It is probably a rave review which the article deserves. twain

Please clear the confusion for a non resident of the US. Your fifteenth article appears to give all citizens the right to vote; amendments later set age restrictions. Many citizens seem to lose that right because of a large number of restrictions, such as, no registration, unacceptable proof of citizenship- address etc. inability to locate ones polling station and so forth. Appeals are made to state courts and these appeals must follow due process. The US Supreme Court then sets a date for all appeals to be dealt with. The effect of this decision is the dis-enfranchisement of many. I can …

Tim Christopher: Is your belief that George 2 is a man of "action" based on the fact that he vanished, with is family, on that tradgic September 11th ? twain

Ana Marie Cox: Praise from a slow witted, retired, old, truck driver may not mean much, but i thoroughly enjoyed your article. I am surprised that none of the bright, articulate contributors failed to comment; could this be because the weekend approaches? twain

Red/Carl: I would hazaard a guess that you are enjoying the attention. It is a number of years since I have read anything as troubling as your beliefs, and I am aware that you do not have a monopoly on these opinions. Please forgive me as I recommend three witers for your future reading. Thomas Paine: I believe he was born in England but this unfortunate cicumstance should detract nothing from his obvious contributions to the United States; surely an American Patriot. Mark Twain: A literary giant and a man many years ahead of his time. Al Capp: A man who …

The Debate: Must admit that I did not watch the entire programme; however I did watch enough to convinced myself that Kerry is finally looking like Presidential material. At some point during the night I had to get up with my dog. While was attending to her needs, I watched PBS and was amazed at comments regarding the debate. One would think that PBS would be non-partisan but this is not so. I suppose that it is understandable when we realise that the bulk of their money comes from Monsanto, ADM and a number of oil companies. Mr. Kerry still has …

Bam: Please forgive me; I was not trying to be obscure but I lack your power of articulation. The PBS spokesman was approxiamately forty years old, thin faced and with hair which was swept from one side of his head to the other. The hair style seemed to be an attempt to cover baldness. The largely one sided reporting by Fox, NBC, ABC and CBS is blatant. Public broadcasting should be non-partisan; unfortunately it must rely on corporate sponsors and there-in lies the rub. twain

Bravo Susan J. Douglas: Kerry is not the first Democrat to clutter-up his quest for election by arguing unimportant topics. While I agree that the three, or perhaps I should include Fox, and say the four major TV networks do little to mask their bias: the GOP has done a much better job of presenting the issues that win votes. Many people believe that this trend started with Reagan. His basic message was quite simple...."do you want four more years of the same".....and....."the budget deficit has to go". The Carter message regarding the recession was completely ignored. Nixon swept to a …

Is Iran Next ? On another web site, which I visit, this same question was asked. It was close to a year ago and it was asked in the form of a poll. Four specific countries were listed and Iran and Syria place first and second. I had chosen Iran but I think much will depend on the wishes of Israel. Saudi Arabia sells a tremendous amount of crude oil to the US and in turn buys the bulk of their armament from this US; this should keep them safe, for the time being. Since George 1 was the US delegate …

I am shocked: I have finally posted. I am flabbergasted by the reasons people choose to vote for George 11. George 1 invaded Iraq. Months before Iraq invaded Kuwait, George 1 was informed, unless you believe that J. Baker withheld vital information from the President. George 1 went to rescue the royal familly of Kuwait. This must have scard the hell out of the Swiss because over 200 members of the Kuwaiti royals had been living in their country for over three months. A coalition was formed. This was easy because the US is not the only country with oil interests …
