    Great article and an anniversary under-recognized in the US. However, a few facts about the actual events in Hiroshima include the distribution of fliers over the city announcing the dropping of a bomb. The Japanese government advised people to stay, that it was a trick, and to ignore the warnings. The city is a port for military and an industrial center, however, the vast majority of people killed were women and children (still at home eating breakfast).
