    This article reminds me of a passage from Nietzche's "Thus Spoke Zarathustra" which reads: "The retired Pope had been speaking of the God he had served. 'Away with such a God,' spake Zarathustra. The retired Pope replied in turn, 'Zarathistra, with such disbelief you are more pious than you believe. Some sort of God in you must have converted you to your godlessness. Is it not your very piety that no longer allows you to believe in a God?'"
