In These Times

Reagan got in because his people convinced the Iranians to continue to hold the hostages until after the election. They were paid off. That is treason. He lied and cheated and created terrorists and crack addicts and sold weapons to official enemies. He ignored AIDS and the problems of the unrich. Such a nice guy. But he sounded pretty good. He was a trained actor. You had to know what he did and authorized and supported to understand what an evil monster he actually was. Carter, on the other hand, was in the wrong place at the "right" time. Big oil …
