A few years ago, when researching medical journals on incidents of rape in the military, I was surprised to learn that rape claims a significant number of male victims as well, re: men raping other men. However, statistics are difficult to collect as men notoriously underreport sexual assaults perpetrated against them. As Army/Vet already said, the premier reason for rape as cited by perpetrators (including those in the military) is to humiliate the "weaker" individual.
