Calvin Loh is the administrator for the Oil Rig Jobs blog, which talks about getting hired for entry level roustabout jobs and other offshore oil rig jobs with no experience.

He has over a decade of experience on both ends of the job market - both as an employee and as an employer.

As an employee, he prefers short 6-month to 1-year contracts. He has successfully found jobs for himself more than a dozen times.

As an employer, he helped his boss make hiring decisions - reviewing resumes and interviewing prospective employees.

On the personal level, he is learning to improve his life by getting rid of unnecessary stuff. In this, he is inspired by Thoreau’s stories in his Walden book.
