This is a long digression from the subject of DU exposure so I will make it a separate comment. Michaelvet changes the subject by what apparently is his personal experience at Johnston Island where two nuclear armed Thor missiles blew up on the launch pad in 1962. The Plutonium (not Uranium) contamination was cleaned up within the past 5 years and Johnson Atoll is now a bird sanctuary.
