I've seen people site the fact that tax receipts have increased under Bush as reason to celebrate his tax cuts many times. GOP in Ohio wrote - "And concerning Bush’s tax cuts ... Did you know that the Federal Government is now receiving more tax receipts than ever. How can that be? Bush cut taxes, but the Govt’s tax receipts are higher than ever. Higher than any year Clinton was office."
