    Thanks for your compliments. My experience as a page, like for most of my peers, was a formative experience. I hope that the program can emerge from this scandal strengthened, so many more kids can have an affirming experience in our nation's capital.

    I enjoy reading your comments on my article about the brewing controversy over gay families attending the upcoming White House Easter Egg Roll on April 17. As Deborah suggests, some good can come from exposing the efforts of people and organizations attempting to restrict civil liberties of any particular group in our country. On the other hand, I hate to bring too much attention to them, since it increases their visibility and often emboldens their efforts.
