    I shrieked with joy when I read your opening paragraphs. Next week I'll be 60, and I keep asking, "When am I allowed to be old?" The way things are going, I suspect I'll be dead before I get to relax. In the world we now inhabit, everyone from my daughter to self-help books to rock n roll idols tells me I don't have to get old; indeed, if I do, I'm letting the team down.
