    These discussions always fascinate and puzzle me. They puzzle me because I was raised with as little awareness of race as my parents could afford me. To me, differences in skin color carry about the same weight as differences in eye color or hair color among Caucasians: it's interesting that people come in different varieties, but in our essential nature we're the same. No, it's not just a feel-good cliche (although it's that, too - admittedly). It's also a biological FACT.
