    There seems to be a movement around to label those who are unwilling to defer to religious sensitivities as "fundamentalist" atheists. I don't know who first came up with this catch phrase, but as is usual in such cases it is meant to confuse the issue with "framing". Atheists think that there is no proof for supernatural events. In fact the word itself means that which is beyond the natural. Since the only things that can exist in the real world are "natural", supernatural things can't exist by definition.
