During my five years teaching Developmental English at an HBCU, we were encouraged to bring up Afrocentric or at least topics relevant to Black young adults. One of the articles that really shaped my views was from issues-views.com, "Keeping the Eye on Failure, or How to make sure the patient doesn't get well."
