What's the matter with you people? An artist always presents information and events from his or her own point of view. You have to take everything written, printed, filmed, recorded with a grain of salt -- none of it is "true" in any absolute sense. In fact, we live in a society that is complicated by the duality of truth. Everything is both true and a lie, depending on how you look at it.
