juangault, Thanks for the comment. Agreed, there are quite a few Bush friends from Texas, but they are largely dropping off. Gonzales's resignation today marked the departure of one of the last remaining Texas posse -- Dan Bartlett, Harriet Miers, etc. Karen Hughes is still around, but she's at the State Department. One of the few people left is Clay Johnson, who, perhaps not surprisingly, is being discussed as the next DHS Secretary (if Chertoff takes the AG job).
