I doubt it could be coordinated, just too many variables. But could you imagine if there was a large union drive in hundreds of Wal-Marts all at the same time? I doubt they have the capacity to put out that many fires at the same time. And if it lead to some executive nervous breakdowns, sounds like karma.

I am not sure how hybrid plug-ins are going to help the police fleet. I would think that different shifts use them same vehicles, not leaving a lot of time for the plug-in. In addition, won't the high energy use of the computer system negate limit the savings for this part of the fleet. I do think it will be a great solution for more traditional parts of fleets, those that use a vehicle for one normal length shift with much time out of the car, not cruising the streets.

I am glad that the author is highlighting the seedy underbelly of corporate operations to maximize profits. We know in the US auto industry that some of the big 3 spun off their parts supply chain, and they have been unionized, although under attack. Is this the same sort …

McCain not only fought against raising the minimum wage. He voted for an amendment that would have abolished a federal minimum wage, leaving it up to the states to establish it and some of them don't have a minimum wage.

Scorp, You have to have a photo ID to cash a check, or in case you get stopped, when driving a vehicle. These IDs do not prove citizenship, which require documentation. I mean come, this article was not that hard to read, but instead you decide to go off on your on conspiracy direction. Bush did not win in 2000. If they had recounted all the votes in Florida, which is Gore's biggest mistake, trying to cherry-pick counties. As a believer in democracy, I thought then that ALL votes in Florida should be counted. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A12623-2001Nov11.html As Paul Krugrman stated, you know …
