It's amazing how ignorant some of these comments are about how the Electoral College works. Awarding electoral votes doesn't mean the electors have to vote "yes". So the stopgap some of you negative commentators are worried about losing - a 'college' of elite white men making sure an extremist doesn't get into office (a lotta good that did the past two elections) - would still be there. I love it - states award their electoral votes to the winner of the national popular vote. Then if an extremist is elected by popular vote - say, Dennis Kucinich - the smart electors …
