I'm as much against the detention camp as anyone else, but.. Will you please stop referring to the American prison camp at Guantanamo Bay as a 'gulag'? It is not a gulag. Not even close. There was only one gulag and to compare this American misadventure in "terrorist" detainment to THE Gulag shows a glaring deficiency in world history while also doing a perverse disservice to all of those that died and suffered because of Stalin's Gulag. Guantanamo Bay is a prison camp; a very repulsive, perhaps illegal one at that. But not a gulag, so please don't make misguided comparisons. …
