Mr. Johnson's article seems to ignore the reformers within SEIU, like the workers within UHW led by Mr. Sal Rosselli, and the leadership of the SMART team (made up of other locals) who are pushing for more local control of dues money and other reforms in Puerto RIco in June. Mr. Stern and his associates are pursuing a scorched agenda and have threatened "trusteeship" for UHW, to remove UHW leadership on the issue of reforming SEIU to return control to the local membership.
