7 Years of Illegal U.S. Detention and Torture: Candace Gorman on Guantanamo
Saturday, January 10,
Revolution Books, 1103 N. Ashland Ave., Chicago, IL 60622
To mark the seventh anniversary of the opening of Guantanamo Bay Naval Base’s detainment camp, H. Candace Gorman, a civil rights/human rights attorney who represents Guantanamo inmates and who writes the “Gitmo Diary” column for In These Times, will speak at Revolution Books in Chicago.
Gorman shut down her civil rights practice to focus solely on getting her clients out of Guantanamo, on shutting down Guantanamo, and on bringing to justice those responsible for or assisting with these war crimes. For more details, visit Revolution Books’ website, or call the bookstore at (773) 489-0930.
