Since many of the voters are also media whores, it doesn’t surprise me that Good Night and Good Luck was ignored.  Hollywood was hurt by the Black List by Joe McCarthy, and while you would think they would appreciate such a fine reminder of the price of freedom.....they are skittish.
Too bad.  Clooney was just reminding us of the need to be courageous and not give in to the bastards of the Bush regime.
Clooney for President.  It doesn’t hurt that he’s the sexiest man alive, and he won’t sleep through his presidency like the last actor did.

If i had to vote it would be for Good Night. However, I wish that just once a poll like this would include Who Gives a Fuck as a choice.

I love your comment.  Actually that response would be appropriate for about ANY poll, and I wish the poll designers/questionnaire designers all over the country would heed your comment.
I engage in clinical tests, and their inane questions sometimes drive me batty, since they don’t give me the opportunity to give them the truth.  You should get a job designing clinical trials at Beth Israel.

Not so sure it matters who won this year, I think the selections them-selves showed a little balls by Hollywood.  If they had picked anything but Crash it would have been a nice little protest what ever they were deciding to Prostest, but they copped out.  Still all the selections (even Cras kinda) were movies that made people truly think beyond a superficial level(well maybe not Crash)..... Why did they pick Crash again?  Munich was safe enough, I mean Spildburg directed it, and every one loves him.  Why Crash?  Damn

Exactly Alice, and I would take that job. It’s like on Colbert Report when he asks, “Is George Bush the greatest president or just a great president?”

CRASH was CRAP. What a bunch of sensationalistic stereotypical piffle! It was shock-theatre for Liberals (cause we all know no Conservative went to see it) who never have to actually deal with race themselves to be outraged and assuage their guilt. It was the most ridiculous plot I have ever been subjected to. I am stunned that ostensibly intelligent people have been taken in by this cinematic snake oil!

CRASH was innocuous enough, reviving my crush on Matt Dillon.  Other than that, it surely was the ‘escape valve’ for bigots who couldn’t handle voting for a movie that might just threaten their insecurity about their own sexuality.
“Brokeback Mountain” got stiffed, as did those two great actors, as did “Good Night and Good Luck”.  Price we pay for an uneducated electorate, among many more important other failings.

    VIVA ZAPATERO

Very funny/scary one from the country that gave us Mussolini.

history of violence was ignored.  a fine, fine film.

Where is “Histroy of Violence” showing?  I’ve heard some good things about that movie.  Just haven’t seen it playing around Boston.  Guess I’ll just have to buy the DVD.
This administration outraces satire, but I’d love to see something that shows the righties screaming, “Why don’t they show us what’s good that’s happening in Iraq?” and then show us the dead bodies of BOTH Iraqis and our children, then our kids without their limbs, all of which we’re not allowed to see by this so-called ‘liberal’ media.
Just give us a movie SHOWING the proof, with the righties lies heard (from the original speakers) overlaid.
