President Obama has invited Henry Louis Gates and the Cambridge police officer who arrested him to the White House to discuss the incident over a beer. Do you think Obama was right to say that police "acted stupidly" by arresting Gates?

In the first paragraph you give the legal basis for the “coup”.  You don’t dispute that it isn’t the law…just that you don’t believe it should be the law in Honduras.  Are you Honduran?  I thought when I voted for democrats that meant that we wouldn’t meddle in the affairs of other countries without clear provocation.  This interference on our part is something George Bush would have done.  I’m not sure what national interest Obama is trying to defend here.  The removed president of Honduras admittedly wanted to be a President for life….i.e. dictator.  His most ardent defenders are people like Raul Castro and the president of Venezuela (Hugo Chavez).  It would seem to me that if you are known by your friends that he wouldn’t be a friend of democracy for his people.  Why do people like you and our president like him enough?  None of this makes any sense to me.
