tTis is typical Howard Dean and demonstrates what’s really not working on the left. First Dean, DFA and others get the whole progressive community in a frenzy to revive the public option. THEN they look into the viability and realize that budget reconciliation is a very limited parliamentary procedure and a public options can’t be included in the bill that way. Oops. That’s why he’s backtracking and talking about medicare expansions instead. In this way, DFA, FDL and others have been manipulating, misleading and gouging the left the same way the tea party lies and jerks around the right. Shame on them all. Ideology before strategy, and the all-or-nothing approach will kill any meaningful movement. I wish they’d all suck their lattes and shut up. Pass the damn Senate bill and fix what we can in reconcilliation!
