Yea we are organizing these sweatshops on wheels. We are fighting contitions that were supposed to be solved in the early days of the labor movement. There is the company store. The Pinkerton detectives like the regulators. Piecemeal work that is below minimum wages. No basic protections like Workers Comp. Union harassment, intimidation, and imprisonment. LIke said in this excellent article, the medallion system was a union benefit to protect the career drivers income. Now it is an investor’s dream that exploits. No 8 hour days and overtime. NO NOTHING BUT ENDENTURED SERVITUDE.
